Rodger Murphy has been appointed general manager BNZ Financial Services Group. He has been managing director, BNZ Finance for the past three years.
As general manager Murphy will report directly to BNZ's managing director Mike Pratt. In line with National Australia Bank’s globalisation strategy, Murphy will also have a reporting line to NAB head office in Melbourne.
Murphy joined BNZ in 1993 to take up a senior management role in risk management. Murphy’s move to managing director, BNZ Finance in 1996 created the opportunity to combine his risk management background with the challenge of managing a company delivering business banking and investment products and services in the financial services industry.
Murphy’s immediate focus will be to build on the platform put in place by his predecessors and fully expects the significant growth that BNZ FSG has experienced over the last three years to continue well in to the millennium.
