BT Funds Management has imported Anoop Kalra from its Sydney office to run its New Zealand equities portfolio following the departure of Paul Glass.
Glass has joined the Spicers/Equity Partners Group. It is anticipated this group will launch a retail equity fund sometime this year.
BT general manager Graeme Fowler says Rowan Hedley, who manages BT's Australian equity operation, will be responsible for the New Zealand portfolio, and Kalra will be the person on the ground to run the equities desk until a replacement is found for Glass.
Currently the company is looking onshore and offshore for a person to fill this vacancy.
