Mortgage Rates Commentary

Silver Fern Mortgages increased its variable and six-month rates yesterday by 25 and 30 basis points respectively.  Its floating rate is now 6.10% and its six-month fixed rate is 6.30%.

The Reserve Bank is likely to be pleased with the current mix of growth in the economic cycle as the household sector takes a back seat in driving it according to ASB Business Weekly.
