Several senior management changes have been made at recently listed financial services firm Sovereign.
Chris Coon has been appointed executive deputy chairman and Ian Hendry is now group managing director.
Both were previously designated joint managing directors.
These appointments are the result of a process of strategic review recently initiated within Soovereign and reflect the changing responsibilities of the company's founders.
In addition to his board duties Coon retains responsibility for the actuarial, reinsurance and related financial aspects of the company's performance. Hendry will be responsible for leading the company into the next millennium and managing its strategic development.
Also Peter Wallace, who was Hambro-Grantham Management's representative on the board, had resigned.
His departure is a consequence of his resignation as investment director of that company. No replacement announcement has been made.
