Chinese Kiwi investors tell their stories

Monday 7th of September 2015

Following the Labour Party’s July release of controversial data which claimed that people of Chinese descent were responsible for 39.5% of Auckland property transactions between February and April this year, this perception has become even more entrenched.

However, many experts considered that data to be unreliable

So what is the reality?

For the September issue, NZ Property Investor magazine went hunting for some Chinese Kiwi investors to find out the truth.

NZ Property Investor acting editor Margie Macalister worked on the article.

She said the way in which Chinese are prepared to work in order to get ahead, or help their family get ahead, is extraordinary.

“No doubt coming from a developing nation where there is real hardship contributes to their work ethic.

“The friendliness and commitment to helping others were universal attributes of all those interviewed for this magazine.”
