Sunday 15th of December 2019

Just 52% of respondents with health cover were satisfied with the service they were getting, the group said.

MAS was the only company that stood out for above-average performance in the life insurance category.

Fidelity Life and OnePath rated significantly below average – only 24% of customers felt they were getting a good service.

AIA also rated significantly below average with overall satisfaction of just 22%.

Southern Cross was slightly better than average, at 52%.

It also rated above average for customer support and claims processing – 85% of those who’d made a claim were happy about how it was handled.

The Police Health Plan was the top-performing health insurance, with 88% of customers satisfied.

Accuro also rated well, at 73%.

The survey found those who bought insurance through a broker or financial adviser were less likely to be satisfies than those who bought direct.
