ASFONZ, Women in Super & Tyndall Industry Breakfast

ASFONZ, Women in Super, and Tyndall are holding a combined industry breakfast at The Northern Club, Princes Street, Auckland, on Wednesday 30 August from 7:15 to 9:00 am.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Jack Gray, Strategist, GMO
Topic: Avoiding Short-Termism in Investment Decision-Making

Dr Gray was one of the keynote speakers at the CFA Institute Annual Conference held in Zurich in May this year, and also spoke to New Zealand CFA members last month. He is a strategist at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co, LLC (GMO) in Sydney.
Dr Gray's presentation will cover:

  • The sources of short-termism and the market participants that encourage it
  • The benefits and advantages of having a longer-term perspective
  • Five steps to getting to and exploiting the long term
