The ASFONZ Forum 2005
Thursday 21st of July 2005
"The Politicians @ Our Place"
Because it is an election year ASFONZ has decided to theme its conference around superannuation issues,
including workplace retirement saving plans, will be a prominent part of the
political parties' 2005 election campaigns.
In his budget on 19 May 2005, the Minister of Finance announced proposals
for:
• 'KiwiSaver' - described by the government as a "major advance for
retirement savings"
• New rules on taxing investment income
ASFONZ's conference The Politicians @ Our Place will let you hear the political parties explain
and be challenged on what they are offering voters on both public and
private provision for retirement.
The one-day conference will be held at Te Papa on Thursday 21 July 2005.
The Politicians @ Our Place will kick off with breakfast at which economist Gareth Morgan will speak on what Budget 2005 means for future workplace saving.
Places are limited - register early (we require registrations by 30 June
2005).
