Financial Advice NZ teams up with training provider
It has partnered with an Australian company, Kaplan Professional, which has been involved in financial services education and continuing professional development (CPD) for over 30 years.
Financial Advice NZ works to help its 1500 members meet professional standards required by agencies such as the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).
It holds frequent webinars to develop adviser skills.
Financial Advice NZ Chief Executive Katrina Shanks says the partnership of her group and Kaplan Professional will help this process further.
“This progression supports Level 5 through to a Bachelor of Business Studies and then competency and knowledge through CPD,” she said.
She said the benefits for members will be current and timely CPD content released twice a month via interactive digital modules, along with a purpose-built content library with high-quality, original and unbiased technical content.
There would also be a wide variety of multimedia formats such as podcasts, videos and micro-learning pieces and multiple training plans for a 12-month professional development plan, among other things.
Kaplan Professional Chief Executive Brian Knight expressed his delight with the partnership with Financial Advice NZ.
“We believe with this partnership, we will deliver continuing professional development in a modern, relevant, and engaging manner,” he said.
“It will assist the sector to thrive and enhance the quality of financial advice and provide value and support to Financial Advice NZ members.”
