Fisher Funds makes new private equity hire

James Dykes is joining Fisher Funds as Director - Private Equity.

The move comes a month after Fisher Funds shared its strategy to invest more than $1 billion in private equity, with $300 million earmarked for New Zealand businesses.

With nearly 20 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Dykes has expertise across M&A advisory, private equity transactions, valuations and strategic investment decision making. James also brings strong relationships with New Zealand private and public markets businesses.

James will be working alongside me to source and execute new investment opportunities, oversee investment management, and identify opportunities for value creation across the portfolio in the New Zealand market,” said Michael Walmsley at Fisher Funds.
