There are many things which are uncertain about the future but, short of some cataclysmic outbreak of disease or war, it seems inevitable that over the next few decades we will see a major ageing of the New Zealand population. At the moment, only 12% of the population is over 65 years of age. By 2040, the proportion over 65 years is expected to have doubled to 25%. Perhaps even more...
