Landowners see value soar

As expected, the triennial revaluation shows property values have gone up with a wallop - Ahuriri industrial land by a spectacular 234 percent over the last three years. But right across the city, and for all kinds of property, the percentage increases have been huge.

Quotable Value regional manager David Nagle says the capital value of Napier's 23,200 properties increased 75 percent to $8.9 billion. The corresponding land value rocketed up 160 percent.
