Small non-bank lender Silver Fern jumped up its mortgage rates significantly yesterday with its six-month, one and two-year rates all increasing by 50 basis points and its three-year rate rising by 20 basis points.

Its six-month rate is now 6.00% which despite the 50 basis point jump is still below the median of 6.15% for non-bank lenders.

The one, two and three-year rates are however slightly above the medians for those terms at 6.50%, 7.50% and 8.20% respectively.
