Home loan approvals take a dive

The number and value of home loan approvals have been in decline for sometime according to Reserve Bank figures in the graph above.

The latest data shows a drop of $133.1 million in the first week of April 2010 followed by a $68.2 million drop the second week. The most recent surge in both number and value of home loan approvals was back around June of last year.
