Navigating Regulation Advice Summits which will be held across New Zealand.

FSC said they were designed to provide insight, support and information to the financial advice community to help them respond to, and prepare for, the pending regulatory and legislative changes being implemented in New Zealand.

Richard Klipin, chief executive of the Financial Services Council said: “The changes in financial services legislation are just around the corner and these summits, which are open to all, are a must attend for those wanting to learn about and prepare for the future.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to suppliers, ask questions and understand what help is available to support them in navigating these changes.

Sharon Corbett, manager financial markets at MBIE, said, “The legislation will impact all aspects of financial advisers’ work. It introduces new client care duties, a new code of conduct and new disclosure requirements to improve the quality of financial advice available for New Zealanders.  Financial advisers can begin to prepare now by finding out more about the changes and thinking about how they will provide financial advice in the new regime.”

Summits will be held in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin.
