Wilson appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday in relation to various charges laid by the FMA under the Crimes Act.

There were three charges of making a false document for pecuniary advantage. This carries a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment.

There were also three charges of dishonestly using a document for pecuniary advantage. This carries a maximum penalty of seven years imprisonment.

The Financial Service Providers Register indicates that Wilson operates Hunter Wells, specialising in risk advice and succession planning for self-employed clients.
