BT's Fowler leaves NZth

Monday 15th of December 1997
BT Funds Management boss Graeme Fowler is leaving New Zealand to take up a more senior position with the group in Australia.
Fowler has been promoted to Chief of Staff to BT's global funds management business headed by Ian Martin.
He will take up the position at the end of January.
Fowler came to New Zealand two and a half years ago to establish and built up BT's New Zealand domiciled funds management business. (BT first started in New Zealand 10 years ago, and only offered Australian products up until 1995).
It is now one of the most successful fund management firms in New Zealand, being well-placed in all the major industry awards, receiving significant fund inflows and winning many mandates at the wholesale level and in the master trust arena.
Fowler is also chairman of the Investment Savings and Insurance(ISI) Association.
BT Funds Management will be looking internally and externally for a new general manager for its New Zealand operations.
An announcement on a replacement is expected before the end of January.
