Finalists announced
Good Returns
is pleased to announce that five finalists have been selected in this year's annual Financial Planner of the Year Awards.The finalists are (in alphabetical order):
- Simon Hassan (Stewart, Hassan and Associates, Auckland)
- Peter Hensley (The Money People, New Plymouth)
- Tony Mount (Independent Financial Consultants, Nelson)
- John Neas (Tower Financial Advisory Services, Wellington)
- Rodger Spiller (Money Matters, Auckland)
The five finalists will be required to do a final interview with the judging panel in Auckland next month and the presentation will be made at a function on Wednesday October 6, 1999.
The function will be held at the Sheraton Hotel starting at 6.30pm. (for more details click here)
Event organiser and Good Returns editor Philip Macalister says the standard of entries this year was very high and there was a good spread of advisers from across the country.
He says it is pleasing to note that four of the finalists hold the internationally-recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
The Awards have been organised to promote professionalism and excellence in financial planning. Also, they help show the public how financial planners can help them meet their investment and retirement income goals.
The Awards are supported by Armstrong Jones, AXA New Zealand, TOWER Managed Funds and Royal & SunAlliance.
