Financial Advice NZ helping advisers ‘Ready, Set, Go!’ into new regime
This time next week will be the first session of Financial Advice New Zealand’s “Ready, Set, Go!” series.
The seven online sessions, held over the next three months are aimed at bringing advisers who are currently operating on transitional licences up to the levels they will need to achieve their full licence.
Katrina Shanks, CEO of Financial Advice New Zealand, says that with over 300 advisers registered, she is excited to get stuck into the ins and outs of the new regime.
“This series is all about advisers getting a good feel for what their obligations and duties are in the next regime. So it’s really a temperature check for advisers to come along to the series and get a feel for whether they are ready, or where their gaps may be.
“We want advisers to walk away from this series really understanding where they fit in the new regime.”
The events, which are free for Financial Advice New Zealand members, cover a range of different topics. These include: priority to client’s interest; competence; knowledge and skill; understand the nature and scope of advice; and many more.
The sessions are one hour in length and begin on January 27.
