Investment expectations now driving property market

A record net 22% of New Zealanders believe now is a bad time to buy a house, even though a net 47% still believe house prices will keep rising, according to ASB Bank's latest survey of housing confidence.

The survey shows a marked turnaround from the September quarter when a net 2% thought it was a good time to buy a house.
