Getting back to work after a couple of weeks off and focussing on the year ahead is never easy.

However advisers have the luxury of a number of roadshows later this month to help fire up the year.

Commission says write a plan
The Retirement Commissioner Diana Crossan is urging New Zealanders to use the start of the New Year to make a resolution to get their finances sorted.

“New Year is a great time to start setting new goals for the future.

“The challenge is to stick to your goal – and research shows you’re more likely to achieve it if you have a written plan and you involve others in helping you stick to it,” Crossan says.

AIA supports Tsunami Relief Fund

American Interenational Assurance (AIA) says that following the tragic events that occurred in South East Asia it will donate $5 to the Tsunami Relief Fund for every new policy issued during the month of January, 2005.

Donations will be made to the Red Cross Appeal.
