Adviserlink appoints general manager

Monday 22nd of February 2010

James was recruited by Adviserlink at the end of 2006 specifically to develop the ‘Best Practice Review' and Paraplanning services.

During his time with Adviserlink James has been involved with a number of high-level initiatives across all areas of the business and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the adviser compliance requirements in line with new unit standards.

Commenting on his appointment, James says Adviserlink's objective is to become the clear market leaders both in scale and performance quality.

"In order to do this it is imperative that we have the best people running each customer touch-point and that each department is consistent in its delivery both to our learners and clients."

He says it is pleasing to see that the talent pursued by the company is starting to deliver improved customer satisfaction across all areas of the business as it has worked hard to improve its processes and overall organisational culture.

"This has had its challenges, however our commitment and renewed focus allows us to be in tune with the market and respond quickly to the education and compliance needs of the industry".

James' bio consists of 20 years at National Mutual (now AXA) during which he worked in personal client services, corporate and small business superannuation, business insurance and finally personal investment products.

After leaving National Mutual, Colin spent 10 years in boutique financial planning enterprises as an adviser, as well as responsible for plan writing, portfolio strategy and client service.

He holds a Certified Financial Planner designation and also an Associate status with the Australasian Compliance Institute.

Having completed the Institute of Financial Advisers additional requirements, Colin is also set to add CLU status to his CFP.
