Aussie takes over IFA board chair

Tuesday 13th of August 2013

Julie Berry has been elected as the chairman of the Institute of Financial Advisers. She has been an independent director of institute since July 2011 and was recently reappointed for a second two-year term. She is an experienced financial planner and holds the internationally recognised CFP designation.

Berry said that the board is committed to ensuring that the Institute has the resources to support its professional members by giving them access to appropriate practice tools, networks, and knowledge to help them throughout their career.

"Julie brings a wealth of experience to IFA both as a financial adviser running her own business in Australia and from her involvement with the Australian association,” IFA president Nigel Tate says.

Berry has a good understanding of the needs of IFA members and the important role that IFA plays in the financial advice profession.

She says that “belonging to a professional community plays a critical part in helping financial advisers become the best at what they do”.
