BNP Paribas appoints from JP Morgan

Braga will start in his new role mid-May.

Doug Cameron retains his role as managing director, New Zealand.

Braga has 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He was previously head of product for custody and fund services at JP Morgan Chase & Co Australia and New Zealand.

Before that he was head of technology, BT Portfolio Services, at BT Funds Management.

Braga is also chairman of the Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is the executive sponsor of ACSA’s regulatory & compliance working group and co-sponsor of its Stronger Super Taskforce and understands legislative changes impacting custodians and clients. 

Ian Perkins, acting head of BNP Paribas Securities Services Australia and New Zealand, will remain as head of client development, overseeing the local sales and relationship management teams.  He will work closely with Braga to continue growing the bank’s business.
