David Russell joins Sentinel board
Monday 16th of April 2007
New Zealand’s number one consumer advocate, David Russell, has accepted an appointment to the Board of New Zealand’s leading home equity release company, Sentinel.
Sentinel’s chairman, Boyd Klap, said the company is delighted Russell will be adding his wealth of consumer and business skills to the Sentinel mix.
Russell, who resigned recently as chief executive of the Consumers Institute where he had worked for 35 years, the last 15 as chief executive, said he strongly believes people should make the best use of their finances they can.
Russell says he thought long and hard and went through ”due diligence” on Sentinel before accepting the board appointment.
In addition to his Board responsibilities,Russell hopes to be able to help consumers understand what home equity release is all about.
