Ex-AMP man joins FAANZ investment committee

Anthony Edmonds has over 15 years experience in the New Zealand investment management industry.

Anthony is currently providing consultancy services to a range of investment companies, which has recently included Raboplus, Kiwibank, HSBC, Russell Investments, Fisher Funds, ANZ National Bank, NZ Post, and Mint Asset Management. He has been an active participant in the industry around issues such as the proposed tax changes to PIE funds to support New Zealand becoming a financial services hub. He has also written a regular monthly column for Asset magazine on portfolio construction and tax.

Anthony is also the independent member of various investment committees, including RaboDirect (in New Zealand) and Funds Administration (NZ) Limited.

Previously Anthony was the Head of Sales and Marketing at AMP Capital Investors, New Zealand's largest fund manager. Anthony held overall responsibility for the establishment and implementation of AMP Capital Investors' distribution strategy. As part of this he was responsible for establishing the Cash Advantage Fund in partnership with Raboplus (which grew to over $500 million within a year of being launched). Anthony was a Director AMP Investment Management Limited, as well as being a member of AMP Capital Investors' executive team and participating in various governance groups (including chairing a joint governance group with Raboplus).

Anthony has worked within the wholesale and retail sectors of the investment management industry.
