IFA CEO goes

Thursday 10th of December 2009

David Hutton resigned as chief executive of IFA after three years in the role.

President Lyn McMorran says he has decided that it is time for a change and a reduction in work intensity. He will probably return to consulting, but on a part time basis.

"The past three years has seen an unprecedented level of activity relating to regulation of financial advisers and the development of revised educational and professional standards for IFA members.  David has made a major contribution by developing IFA policy and preparing its submissions on government proposals."

She says the Institute intends to recruit a suitable replacement  in the new year to help prepare its members for regulation.

Hutton finishes at Christmas.
