Longstanding adviser supporter signs off
Thursday 28th of March 2019
Karen Garner, formerly business manager at the Institute of Financial Advisers, has decided to follow a new path.
She was with the IFA from 2003 until June last year when Financial Advice NZ was formed.
She then transferred over to a role as business and operations manager, which she held until this February.
Financial Advice NZ confirmed in an email to members this month that she had moved on.
She said she had made the decision for a lifestyle change and had relocated to Tauranga.

Karen had been the 'rock' that really kept the IFA running, despite an ever-changing lineup of CEOs! During my time there I always knew I could rely on her calm, unflappable skills. She - and they - will be missed.

Congrats on your new move! Thank you so much for all your work with the association/s over the years and the wonderful support you provided me in my previous roles, all the branches and members over the years. You will missed. Cheers B
