Macquarie makes a new appointment

Macquarie Bank has appointed Peter Maher as head of the bank’s Financial Services Group which was established in June of this year following a major re-organisation of the bank’s retail financial services activities.
Maher, who was previously general manager, business and consumer markets at Westpac, will also join the bank’s executive committee and become an executive director of the bank.
Macquarie’s Financial Services Group includes the bank’s retail stockbroking activities, a range of retail investment funds including the bank’s cash management trust, adviser marketing and services, private banking and other distribution activities for financial products.
