New GM at United Finance
Tuesday 5th of November 2002
United Finance Limited, a member of Hanover Group of Companies, New
Zealand's largest privately owned finance company, has appointed Simon Thompson to lead United Finance in the newly formed
role as general manager.
A graduate of Canterbury University with a career spanning 24 years, Thompson was most recently employed as a senior manager overseeing equipment finance at Fisher and Paykel Finance.
Prior to this he previously attained management positions with leading corporate institutions such as State Bank of South Australia, NZI Bank and BNZ Finance.
"United Finance has signaled a move into broader ranges of commercial finance with the release of its latest prospectus. Simon will ensure the diversification is prudently managed with his financial acumen, strong commercial networks and track record of significant asset growth," says Hanover group chief executive Officer, Kerry Finnigan.
