NZSIP awards scholarships for Chartered Financial Analysts

The New Zealand Society of Investment Professionals (NZSIP) has awarded scholarships to Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA)candidates in New Zealand. NZSIP vice-president Jeremy Simpson CFA, announced the awarding of these scholarships which waive registration and enrolment fees for Level I of the CFA exam.

This years recipients are: Chris Wood (Dunedin), Lydia Hwang (Auckland), Kyle Lin (Auckland) and Maggie Zhang (Auckland).

“Scholarships are one way we can assist the best and brightest people to attain the pre-eminent global qualification in our profession”, Simpson said.

The CFA Program is a three year graduate-level, self-study curriculum and series of examinations that test candidates in ethical and professional standards, financial statement analysis, economics, portfolio management and analysis and valuation of debt, equity and alternative investments.

“This year there are 34 Level III candidates in New Zealand who, if successful and subject to achieving the appropriate work experience, will receive their charters," Simpson said.
