Ralph Stewart leaves Tower
Wednesday 7th of August 2002
Ralph Stewart has been appointed to the position of general manager, wealth management, at AXA New Zealand.
Stewart essentially replaces Vaughan Underwood, who headed up Sterling Grace/Spicers until being appointed AXA chief executive.
"My previous role as ceo of Sterling Grace had not been replaced, and as time has gone on the realisation has grown that there is a need for somebody in this position," he says.
The key responsibilities are to coordinate the wealth management side of the business.
Stewart, who is currently general manager, marketing and strategic development for Tower New Zealand, has 21 years experience in the industry. Many of these have been with Tower.
He has been responsible for the distribution channels at Tower and the establishment of Goldridge Limited.
Stewart joins AXA on September 2, and will be located in Wellington.
