Guy Strapp has been appointed managing director, investments, for the combined Westpac Investment Management (WIM) and Rothschild Australia Asset Management (RAAM), which will be named in late July-early August.
Strapp will report directly to ceo Peter Martin, and will be responsible for the strategic direction and business management of the combined company’s investment capabilities including both conventional and alternative assets.

- Jonathan Pain - presently RAAM's chief investment officer. - will be cio of the new organisation and chair the investment policy committee. Fixed interest, portfolio management and economic research will report to him.
- Dr Don Hamson, WIM’s chief investment officer, will be taking on the role of general manager – investments, with specific responsibility for risk management across all asset classes.
- Andrew Brown, RAAM's head of equities, will be the head of Australian equities in the new organisation.
- Callum Burns will continue his RAAM role in the new organisation as head of global asset allocation.
- Richard Keary will continue his RAAM role in the new organisation as head of alternative assets.
