Tyndall gets new MD

Friday 1st of December 2006
Tyndall, part of the ASX-listed Promina Group under takeover offer from Suncorp Metway, has appointed Brett Himbury as managing director.

Himbury assumes responsibility for all aspects of Tyndall’s operations in Australia and New Zealand.

He succeeds Barry Sheehan, who stepped aside from his role in October after suffering health-related complications following a sporting injury.

"In terms of future growth, Tyndall presents one of the best opportunities for the Promina Group in both our Australian and New Zealand markets," Promina managing director Dennis Fox says.

Himbury joins Tyndall following 16 months as chief operating officer, Corporate and Distribution with Tyndall sister company, Asteron. During this time he was responsible for Asteron’s corporate superannuation, group risk and aligned adviser groups.

Prior to that he was executive general manager, Financial Planning and Advice, at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Other previous positions include senior roles with Rothschild and Westpac.
