van Eyk adds Practice Manager and former Macquarie adviser

Thursday 13th of March 2014

Casey Bright, who was a senior manager at AMP has joined van Eyk Advice in the newly-created position of National Practice Manager. In her new role, Bright will oversee the day-to-day management of van Eyk Advice’s New Zealand offices. She will have responsibility for business administration, and business and adviser development.

Bright was most recently national contracts manager at AMP-owned advisory firm ipac where she was heavily involved in the acquisition of financial planning practices in Australia. Prior to AMP, Bright spent a decade with leading Australian financial advice business, Strategic Planning Partners where she was a financial adviser. Strategic Planning Partners now trades as ipac Gold Coast.

Bright will start at van Eyk Advice NZ on March 18, reporting to Paul Bray, van Eyk director and head of strategy.

An experienced financial adviser has also joined van Eyk Advice.

Former senior investment adviser at Macquarie Private Wealth Wayne Blomfield has joined van Eyk Advice NZ in Auckland. Blomfield, CFP,  is also a chartered accountant.

Blomfield said his decision to join van Eyk Advice after 14 years as an investment adviser, including over five years with Macquarie Private Wealth, was driven by a desire to get back into a financial planning environment where he can offer more holistic financial advice to clients.

“I was attracted to van Eyk’s commitment to the delivery of quality advice and I liked the fact it was a boutique with the backing of a strong brand,” Blomfield said.

van Eyk Advice NZ is backed by leading Australian and New Zealand ratings house, van Eyk Research, which incorporates its practice management consultancy, Encore Group.
