Property Management: Rare payout protects landlords

In late 2001 the Real Estate Institute froze Platt's trust fund and made a rare payout after many landlords were not paid rent from the residential properties that Platt managed.
One landlord lodged a formal complaint with the institute about missing rent. Although Platt appeared to put the rent money from the properties into its trust account, it was not paid to the landlords.
