Putting something back

Kenneth Weaver is wearing an immaculate dark blue suit and crisp white shirt. He is tall and trim, with a full head of neatly cropped silver hair and an energy that belies his 69 years. He welcomes me with a steely handshake and fixes me with a direct gaze.

"I'm a very lucky man," he says. "When I say that, 35 years ago I was a storeman in a factory. I've got no skills and no profession, and today somehow I've ended up as a multimillionaire."
