In total, 108 houses sold in Northland in June (May 2008: 103; June 2007: 178). The median price eased to $302,750 from $310,000 in May (June 2007: $315,000).

13 houses sold in the Whangarei County area in June (May 2008: ten; June 2007: 11). The median price eased to $427,500 from $428,000 in May (June 2007: $515,000).

52 houses sold in Whangarei City in both May and June 2008, down on the 77 sold in June last year. The median price increased from $288,500 in May 2008 to $301,000 in June (June 2007: $335,000).

Auckland
The median house price in Auckland eased to $435,000 in June, from $447,500 in May (June 2007: $445,000). In total, 1,466 houses sold, up on the 1,388 sold in May (June 2007: 2,687).

The median sales price for a North Shore City home reached $510,000 in June (May 2008: $495,000; June 2007: $539,000). 271 houses sold, up on the 250 sold in May (June 2007: 435).

Sales volume dipped slightly in Waitakere City in June with 169 houses sold (May 2008: 171; June 2007: 378). The median price also eased to $337,000 (May 2008: $380,000; June 2007: $376,500).

The median price for an Auckland City house eased to $472,100 in June, from $504,500 in May (June 2007: $495,000). 542 houses sold in June, 20 more than the 522 sold in May (June 2007: 896).

265 houses sold in Manukau City in June (May 2008: 255; June 2007: 609). The median price increased to $442,000 from $400,000 in May and $416,000 in June 2007.

Sales rose in Papakura with 51 houses sold (May 2008: 31; June 2007: 68).The median price also increased to $320,000 in June from $312,500 in May (June 2007: $332,250).

The median price for a Metropolitan Auckland house eased to $440,000 in June (May 2008: $451,000; June 2007: $450,000). In total, 1,298 houses sold, up on the 1,235 sold in May (June 2007: 2,386).

77 houses sold in Rodney District, up on the 69 sold in May (June 2007: 147). The median price dipped to $470,000 from $475,000 in May (June 2007: $450,000).

The median price for a Franklin District home reached $368,000 in June (May 2008: $365,000; June 2007: $352,500). 49 houses sold, five more than the 44 sold in May (June 2007: 94).

42 houses sold in the Thames/Coromandel region in June, up on the 40 sold in May (June 2007: 60). The median price increased substantially to $377,500 from $317,500 in May (June 2007: $412,000).

The median price for an Outer Auckland home reached $407,500 in June, up from $405,000 in May (June 2007: $415,000). In total, 168 houses sold (May 2008: 153; June 2007: 301).

Waikato/Bay of Plenty/Gisborne
The median price for a house in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty/Gisborne region rose to $316,000 in June (May 2008: $310,000; June 2007: $325,000). 581 houses sold (May 2008: 582; June 2007: 1,136).

Sales rose in Waikato Country in June with 112 houses sold (May 2008: 111; June 2007: 237). The median price eased slightly to $244,250 (May 2008: $250,000; June 2007: $240,000).

The median price for a Hamilton City house fell to $323,000 in June, from $337,500 in May (June 2007: $355,000). 158 houses sold in June, two less than the 160 sold in May (June 2007: 289).

Sales volume rose in Western Bay of Plenty Country in June with 33 houses sold (May 2008: 30; June 2007: 80). The median price reached $382,500 in June (May 2008: $377,500; June 2007: $343,000).

The median price for a house in Mt Maunganui/Papamoa reached $398,000 in June (May 2008: $395,500; June 2007: $435,000). 46 houses sold, five more than the 41 sold in May (June 2007: 91).

75 houses sold in Tauranga in June, down on the 83 sold in May (June 2007: 150). The median price dipped to $363,000 in June, from $376,500 in May and $378,250 in June 2007.

Rotorua’s median price rose to $255,000 in June, from $247,000 in May (June 2007: $255,000). 37 houses sold in June, down on the 69 sold in May (June 2007: 111).

30 houses sold in Taupo in June, down on the 32 sold in May (June 2007: 56). The median price increased significantly to $360,500 from $315,000 in May (June 2007: $352,000).

The median price for a King Country home fell to $97,500 in June, from $173,000 in May (June 2007: $132,500). 12 houses sold (May 2008: seven; June 2007: 16).

The median price for a Gisborne City home reached $220,000 in June, up from $200,000 in May (June 2007: $262,000). 28 houses sold, one more than the 27 sold in May (June 2007: 41).

Four houses sold in Gisborne Country in June, up on the single sale recorded in May (June 2007: five). The median price eased to $275,000 from $296,700 in May (June 2007: $131,000).

Sales improved in Eastern Bay of Plenty Country with 46 houses sold in June (May 2008: 21; June 2007: 60). The median price eased to $288,750 from $383,000 in May (June 2007: $250,000).

Hawke's Bay
Sales volume eased in the Hawke's Bay in June with 136 houses sold (May 2008: 173; June 2007: 285). The median price eased to $261,000 (May 2008: $265,000; June 2007: $268,100).

The median price for a house in Napier City dipped to $292,500 in June, from $298,000 in May. In total, 52 houses sold (May 2008: 64). In June 2007, 115 houses sold with a median price of $309,750.

57 houses sold in Hastings City in June 2008, down on the 79 sold in May (June 2007: 119). The median price eased to $250,000 from $275,000 in May (June 2007: $257,000).

Hawke's Bay Country’s median price improved to reach $395,000 in June, from $330,000 in May and $302,000 in June 2007. Ten houses sold during the month (May 2008: nine; June 2007: 17).

Manawatu/Wanganui
The median price for a house in the Manawatu/Wanganui region fell to $213,750 in June, from $224,500 in May (June 2007: $248,000). 196 houses sold (May 2008: 226; June 2007: 363).

The median sales price for a house in Palmerston North City eased to $240,000 in June, from $295,000 in May (June 2007: $293,000). 88 houses sold (May 2008: 85; June 2007: 147).

Sales eased slightly in Manawatu Country with 16 houses sold (May 2008: 19; June 2007: 31). The median price fell to $162,500 from $185,000 in May (June 2007: $232,000).

The median price in the Manawatu Region dipped to $222,500 in June, from $246,000 in May (June 2007: $246,000). 141 houses sold (May 2008: 156; June 2007: 256).

42 houses sold in Wanganui City in June, five less than the 47 sold in May (June 2007: 80). The median price eased to $155,000, from $182,500 in May (June 2007: $202,500).

The median price in the Wanganui Region fell slightly to $166,000 from $166,500 in May. 55 houses sold in June (May 2008: 70). In June 2007, 107 houses sold with a median price of $202,000.

Taranaki
The median price for a house in Taranaki fell to $255,000 in June, from $285,000 in May (June 2007: $265,000). 135 houses sold, down on the 158 and 203 sold in May 2008 and June 2007 respectively.

18 houses sold in the Taranaki Country region in June (May 2008: 16; June 2007: 30). The median price eased from $292,500 in May to $222,500 in June (June 2007: $207,500).

The median sales price for a New Plymouth City house eased to $285,000 in June (May 2008: $332,500; June 2007: $328,000). 69 houses sold in June (May 2008: 84; June 2007: 90).

Wellington
Wellington’s median price eased to $366,500 in June, from $389,500 in May (June 2007: $375,000). In total, 458 houses sold, down on the 534 sold in May (June 2007: 788).

45 houses sold in the Wairarapa in June (May 2008: 38; June 2007: 87). The median price eased to $247,000 from $268,500 in May (June 2007: $252,000).

The median price for an Upper Hutt house eased slightly to $325,000 from $339,500 in May (June 2007: $315,000). 37 houses sold, down on the 64 sold in May (June 2007: 73).

91 houses sold in the Hutt Valley, down on the 95 sold in May and the 159 sold in June 2007. The median price eased also to $305,500 from $365,000 in May (June 2007: $342,500).

The median price for a house in Otaki/Paekakariki eased to $332,500 in June, from $355,500 in May (June 2007: $360,000). 60 houses sold in June, down on the 76 sold in May (June 2007: 103).

Sales dipped in Pukerua Bay/Tawa in June, with 43 houses sold (May 2008: 596; June 2007: 56). The median price also fell to $367,000 in June from $387,500 in May (June 2007: $385,000).

40 houses sold in Central Wellington in June, up on the 28 sold in May (June 2007: 95). The median price eased to $387,500 in June, from $448,584 in May and $390,000 in June 2007.

Nelson/Marlborough
The median price for a Nelson/Marlborough house eased to $335,000 in June, from $337,000 in May (June 2007: $335,000). 169 houses sold, ten less than the 179 sold in May (June 2007: 206).

67 houses sold in Nelson City in June, up from 54 in May (June 2007: 77). The median price rose to $345,000 from $321,425 in May and $311,000 in June 2007.

The median price for a Nelson Council zone house rose to $345,000 in June (May 2008: $335,500; June 2007: $312,000). 108 houses sold during the month (May 2008: 106; June 2007: 129).

61 houses sold in Marlborough in June (May 2008: 73; June 2007: 77). The median price eased to $315,000 from $345,000 in May and $342,000 in June 2007.

Canterbury/Westland
666 houses sold in Canterbury/Westland in June, up on the 619 sold in May (June 2007: 998). The median price also rose to $299,000 from $296,000 in May (June 2007: $305,250).

The median price for a house in Christchurch City remained steady at $315,000 in both May and June 2008 (June 2007: $330,000). 479 houses sold, well up on the 392 sold in May (June 2007: 687).

The median price for a home in Rangiora increased to $318,750 in June, from $296,000 in May (June 2007: $290,000). 22 houses sold, three less than the 25 sold in May (June 2007: 34).

16 houses sold in North Canterbury in June (May 2008: 15; June 2007: 22). The median price achieved eased however to $290,000 from $355,500 in May (June 2007: $262,500).

The median price for a Canterbury Country home dipped to $365,000 in June from $395,000 in May (June 2007: $338,500). 22 houses sold, down on the 27 sold in May 2008 (June 2007: 46).
29 houses sold in Mid Canterbury in June (May 2008: 28; June 2007: 48). The median price eased to $248,000 in June, from $275,000 in May (June 2007: $277,500).

Sales fell in Timaru in June, with 33 houses sold (May 2008: 49; June 2007: 57). The median price dipped to $195,000 in June from $240,000 in May (June 2007: $220,000).

The median price for a house on the West Coast rose to $185,000 in June, from $180,000 in May and $177,500 in June 2007. 25 houses sold, down on the 46 sold in May (June 2007: 42).

187 houses sold in Outer Canterbury in June (May 2008: 227; June 2007: 311). The median price eased to $250,000 in June from $255,250 in May and $257,000 in June 2007.

Central Otago Lakes
61 houses sold in June, down on the 79 sold in May (June 2007: 91). The median price rose to $514,000 in June from $490,000 in May and $420,000 in June 2007.

The median price for a house in Central Otago increased to $440,000 in June, from $420,000 in May (June 2007: $415,000). 22 houses sold (May 2008: 41; June 2007: 49).

Sales volume rose slightly in Queenstown with 39 houses sold in June (May 2008: 38; June 2007: 42). The median price rose to $580,000 from $540,000 in May (June 2007: $442,500).

Otago
177 houses sold in Otago in June, down on the 183 sold in May (June 2007: 281). The median price eased slightly to $225,000 from $240,000 in May (June 2007: $230,000).

Sales volume increased in North Otago with 27 houses sold (May 2008: 23; June 2007: 49). The median price eased however, to $200,000 in June from $230,000 in May (June 2007: $197,000).

The median price for a house in Dunedin City eased to $244,600 in June from $259,000 in May (June 2007: $240,000). 131 houses sold (May 2008: 145; June 2007: 202).

Sales volume also improved in South Otago with 16 houses sold (May 2008: 15; June 2007: 22). The median price eased to $151,000, from $160,000 in May (June 2007: $162,500).
 
Three houses sold in East Otago in June (May 2008: 0; June 2007: eight). The median price reached $233,000 compared to $220,000 in June 2007.

Southland
Sales volume increased in Southland with 152 houses sold (May 2008: 148; June 2007: 258). The median price eased to $182,500 from $200,000 in May (June 2007: $177,750).

Sales volume increased in Invercargill in June with 101 houses sold (May 2008: 99).  The median price dipped to $185,000 from $205,000 in May (June 2007: $188,000).

The median price for a house in Gore rose to $158,000 in June, up from $154,500 in May and $125,000 in June 2007. In total, 26 houses sold, three more than the 23 sold in May (June 2007: 46).
