Valley residents unhappy over accommodation plan

Hawera man Gary Ogle is behind the venture. He intends to develop it over the next seven years with eventual accommodation for 250 people.
Frankley Rd resident Sharon Devlin said she and the five other residents along her driveway were mortified by Mr Ogle's plans. "We are absolutely devastated, to be honest."
The site was in a valley and lower than all the houses around it, she said.
"Every sound echoes – you can hear every word people say, you can hear footsteps down there. The thought of there being a tent site, the noise is just horrendous."
