Registrations crack a ton
The organisers of next year's financial planning convention are extremely pleased with the early support they have received for the event.
Currently more than 100 people have pre-registered for the event to be held in Palmerston North, and a number of major sponsors have been signed up.
As announced earlier the organisers have also signed former Wallaby skipper John Eales and author Bryce Courtenay as keynote speakers.
Convention chairman Paul O'Brien says delegates at the convention will be some of the first to use new or upgraded accomodation in the city.
The Carlton Heritage, which is a four star hotel, has started building a new wing which will be open in time for the convention.
Likewise the Quality Hotel has started on an upgrade project.
O'Brien says the convention team is negotiating special prices for delegates.
The main venue for the convention will be the Regent on Broadway which was built in 1930 and was fully refurbished in 1998.
