Toys and tools on show this year

The organisers of this year's Financial Planners and Insurance Advisers Association convention are expecting to soon be able to announce another key note speaker for the event.

Co-convenor Paul O'Brien says the committee is close to the point where it can reveal who the speaker will be.

He says the conference is coming together well and a programme will soon be available.

Registrations continue to steam along well ahead of the same time for the previous conference.

Currently about 160 people have registered for the convention compared to .. for same time last year.

O'Brien says planning for the convention part of the event is well advanced. Besides financial services products delegates will be introduced to lots of "tools and toys" including cars, phones and electronic equipment.

The other pleasing aspect from the organisers point of view is that several more sponsors have signed up to back the event. These include Grosvenor Financial Services Group and Equitable.
