Taranaki Investment Management Limited has the contractual mandate to manage a $260 million dollar perpetual fund resulting from the sale of Powerco shares by the New Plymouth District Council. The fund will include direct and indirect investments across most asset classes.

Reporting to an experienced board the investment manager will have primary responsibility for all aspects of growing the portfolio within agreed investment and operating authorities.

A background in equities, bonds, or property investment and a broad knowledge of portfolio investment and management is required. A high level of numeracy, and a business related tertiary qualification are essential.

Opportunities to manage a fund such as this certainly are rare and should be considered seriously. New Plymouth is one of New Zealand’s most progressive cities.
