TOWER is offering an exceptional opportunity to take regional ownership of existing customer relationships and to grow business through relationship based sales of Farm General Insurance.

In the role of Rural Business Development Manager you will leverage your knowledge of the rural sector, your farming community contacts, and your sales skills to manage and increase business written with key customers, and to develop new business opportunities.

You will be working to a regional strategic plan to grow and retain relationships with TOWER’s direct customers and Broker partners. This includes growing market share and profitability, building and developing strong commercial relationships with Brokers and sales channels, and managing a pipeline of new opportunities. Key performance measures include achievement of sales and growth targets, relationship management and completion of successful initiatives.

To be successful in this role you must have a proven record of managing successful sales relationships direct and via channel partners within the insurance or financial services industry. You’ll know what it takes drive growth through new opportunities, while effectively managing existing relationships. You’ll have an extensive industry network, and you can demonstrate your considerable business development achievements. Motivated by targets, you will have the inclination and the capacity to consistently deliver beyond expectation.

This is a Christchurch based role, you will be required to travel extensively throughout this region. To the right candidate TOWER offers a competitive base salary, a company vehicle, and a sales incentive plan.
