Rob Walker has been appointed chief executive of New Zealand Pension Plans Limited, a small progressive and growth orientated pension/superannuation product management company based in Takapuna, North Shore City.
Walker's consultancy company Investment Management Consultants (IMC)has stopped promoting and providing services to the New Zealand investment industry.
Prior to IMC Walker spent 19 years as CEO of wholly-owned National Bank subsidiary Southpac Investment Management Ltd (SIML). Following his resignation in 1995, SIML was subsequently acquired by the AMP.
While operating IMC Walker researched the investment industry and provided advisory services focussing mainly on wholesale mandates. His fundamental interest has been and remains in the superannuation area. He feels he has unfinished business providing well-designed, well-managed and equitable superannuation products to the New Zealand market.
