ICNZ launches te reo Maori title

Monday 12th of July 2021

ICNZ chief executive Tim Grafton says the name shows the importance of acknowledging the diversity, unique culture, and values that are intrinsic to New Zealanders.

"We’re privileged to have our own national language and we want to make sure we reflect the country and people we represent," Grafton says.

This year ICNZ is focusing on its use of te reo Māori, and the first step has been translating its name, which you can read more about here.
