Chubb Life makes changes to trauma benefit

Saturday 28th of September 2024

The new Continuous Trauma Benefit is available on Assurance Extra Trauma Cover and allows customers to retain their cover post-claim, providing continuous coverage of up to four times the Trauma Cover sum insured.

"Serious illness or injuries can strike unexpectedly, and unfortunately, they can happen more than once. With this new benefit in place, customers can retain their Trauma Cover after an initial claim for future unrelated conditions, providing them with peace of mind that they’ll have financial support to pay for treatment and any other costs that may arise,” Simon Tohill, general manager, Strategy and Marketing says.

Chubb Life NZ has also enhanced a series of benefits and medical definitions under its Assurance Extra and Assurance Extra Business policies to provide customers with additional support.

These include extending the Complimentary Children's Benefit under its Assurance Extra Trauma Cover from ages 19 to 24, alongside the option to convert the cover to a standalone Trauma Cover at age 24 without additional medical underwriting.

“By extending the age of cover and making it easier to continue this protection into adulthood, we hope this provides worry-free assurance to parents that their children will be covered not only now but in the long-term," Tohill said.
