Change at top for AMP
Bevan Graham takes the role on January 1.
Graham, currently AMP Capital New Zealand chief economist, brings more than 30 years’ experience in both public and private sectors including seven years with AMP Capital. He will replace current New Zealand managing director Grant Hassell, who is moving to a new role as AMP Capital’s global head of fixed income.
AMP Capital director Asia Pacific Craig Keary said: “I’m thrilled to announce the appointment of Bevan to the managing director role in New Zealand. Bevan is the right person to continue the strong momentum and growth in our business. He has deep and trusted relationships with our clients in the region and an unwavering focus on delivering exceptional investment experiences.
“I’d like to thank Grant Hassell for his dedication and strong leadership of the New Zealand business over the past three years. Our business has continued to grow and we’re well positioned for the future. Grant will continue to have a close relationship with our teams and clients in New Zealand as AMP Capital’s global head of fixed income.”

Hassell said: “I’m delighted that Bevan has been appointed to lead AMP Capital New Zealand. It’s a strong business with a bright future and I look forward to continuing working with the New Zealand team and clients in my new role. I’m excited about the opportunity ahead in AMP Capital’s fixed income business and the opportunities we can bring to our clients in New Zealand and around the world.”
