Raising the Bar - Success Forum 2005

Friday 10th of September 2004
The Conference committee chaired by Trisha Edmonds, includes Geoff Annear, Bruce Phillips, David Carter, Steve Richens, Phillip Matthews and Marg and Mandy from The Conference team.

Titled “Raising the Bar”, this conference will host Business sessions designed to meet both business and personal needs and Keynote speakers drawn from the natural talent and expertise currently working in the industry.

Bob Parker will act as Master of Ceremonies, and already 3 speakers of International caliber have been confirmed for keynote addresses.

They are Godfrey Phillips who offers 27 years of specialist Individual and Group Risk advice, Jason Lea who is the Managing Director of Darrell Lea Chocolates, a business boasting turnover of over $80m and John Anderson. Anderson created the international success story of Contiki tour operators and conceived the idea of the Ellerslie Flower show.

Currently the committee is working closely with several other “soon to be announced speakers”, and is excited about the kudos these people bring with them.

Prospective business session speakers are being asked to pre-empt their inclusion via a “Call for Papers”, outlining reasons why they should present. These will be reviewed by the conference committee, and need to be submitted no later than 8 October 2004.

For the golf lovers amongst us, there will be the usual golf match the day before conference commences. Details to follow soon!

Finally, the Christchurch committee looks forward to welcoming delegates to the metropolis of the South. A combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage awaits you all; along with delivery of the renowned hospitality that only the “City that shines” can offer.
