Highly-sought after speaker signed
The organisers of the 2002 Financial Planners and Insurance Advisers convention have confirmed that they have signed Bryce Courtney as a platform speaker.
The best-selling author is a highly-sought after speaker. He won huge approval from advisers in 1996 when he spoke at the Insurance and Investment Advisers Association conference in Dunedin.
Although advisers seemed luke warm on the idea of having their annual gabfest in Palmerston North year, there has been a strong level of early registrations.
Convention co-convenor Paul O'Brien says early registrations are three times higher for this event than they were for the last one.
What's more there has been strong interest from sponsors to get involved.
AMP has signed up as the first platinum sponsor. O'Brien is expecting another three firms will take up platinum level sponsorship.
He puts the support levels down to the decision to convert the annual conference into a convention.
As a convention there will be a half-day expo which will take the form of a show. During this show sponsors will have the opportunity to present their products and services to advisers.
