My client is a leader in the provision of Life, Disability and Investment products within the Insurance industry. They are Auckland central based and have a positive company culture envied by most.

They are looking for an Investment Product Specialist to join the Marketing team and report directly to the Corporate Marketing Manager.

The Purpose of the Position

To position the company in the market as the natural choice for independent advisors, to develop and manage investment products, managing the process to ensure the company has profitable and marketable products that meet advisers' needs.

You must be able to develop relationships with Investment Advisers and work closely with the product development committee to develop suitable investment products.

This role is comprehensive and not for the feint hearted. The functions within the role are diverse with multiple key result areas to manage.  A full and detailed Job Description can be given to suitable candidates to review however a snap shot of the functions of the Key result areas follow -

 

Sales/Marketing of Investment products

Provide support and management to the sales and marketing teams to ensure maximisation of profitability and growth in these areas.

Monitoring and Research

Includes competitor analysis, cost benefit analysis, track and manage initiatives, manage user groups, manage relationships with product research houses and  monitor regulatory changes.

Product Management

You will be a Product expert, develop PIE products, identify PR opportunities, work with sales teams and establish processes that meet QROP requirements, 

Kiwi Saver

Lead product development, complete statistical & graphical analysis of competitive products and manage regular Advisor communications.

Communications/Professional Development

You will create a profile in the market, manage presentations to advisers with development training and support.

Team work

Assist and support other Marketing team members and other cross functional teams with the view to sharing expertise, growing the business, enhancing the Organisation's profile and building a friendly            environment.

To be successful in this role you will require -

·        AFA ( Highly desirable)

·        Minimum 5 years investment  experience

·        Sound organisational skills as the basis for setting direction within available resources.

·        An understanding and commitment to quality management and the highest level of channel and customer service.

·        A high level of decision-making and judgment skills.

·        Empathy with the relationship development requirements of the adviser channel.

·        Ability to implement strategic plans.

·        Ability to develop, enthuse, and motivate staff into a cohesive, harmonious, accountable and responsible team.

·        Capable of critically assessing risk components and managing the minimisation of any adverse influences.

·        Sound operational, financial and sales skills with a strong appreciation of profit and cost management.

·        Ensure consensus and consultative participation in the operations team and provide direction and feedback to enable all to achieve their position objectives.
